Alongside play count, it shows the failure rate (percentage of sessions where the player ran out of guesses without getting it right) and average number of guesses taken on successful rounds. High failure rate + high play count = a song that consistently stumps experienced players, not just newcomers.
Three factors come up consistently when looking at high-failure-rate tracks:
Instrumental-heavy intros. The first few seconds of audio (the 1-second and 2-second clips) determine whether someone even has a shot at guessing early. Songs that open on a sustained synth pad or a drum machine pattern without any distinctive melody tend to stump players at the earliest clip lengths, even if the song itself is well known.
Similar production across an artist's discography. Some producers have a signature sound, a specific snare, a particular synth bass, that makes their tracks sound similar to each other. Players who are fans of a specific producer's work sometimes guess three different songs by the same producer before landing on the right one.
Deep catalogue tracks from major groups. A song from BTS's 2014 mixtape era or an EXO B-side from 2017 will get attempted by many players (because BTS and EXO are common guesses) but fails at a high rate simply because most players don't know that specific track deeply. Volume + obscurity is a reliable recipe for high failure rate.
